Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture is one of the largest faculties in Kunming University of Science and Technology. Now, the faculty offers 5departments, including the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Architecture, the Department of Municipal Engineering, the Department of Civil-Project management, the Department of Engineering Mechanics and Institute of Earthquake Engineering, Yunnan..

The faculty has rich of academic. Among the 240 faculty members, there are 20 professors, 79 association professors and senior engineers, 169 lecturers and engineers. It also invites some foreign academicians and experts as guest professor. Moreover, 207 graduate students and doctor students out of the more than 2000 students now in the college.

The faculty has strong atmosphere of scientific research and learning. As the provincial key discipline, Architecture and Engineering Structure Anti-Seismic assumed some national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and some of them have won prizes of province and ministry. The faculty is entitled the right to confer the Doctor’s Degree in Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Master’s Degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering. Besides, Disaster Prevention & Mitigation and Shelter Engineering, Road and Railway Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structure Engineering, Architectural Design and Theory, Architectural History and Theory, Urban Planning, Municipal Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, and Hydraulic Structure Engineering are entitled to confer the Master’s Degree. 8 undergraduate programs are offered including Civil Engineering, Architecture, City Planning, Water Supply an Drainage Engineering, 建筑环境与设备工程,Land Resource Management, Project Management and Engineering Mechanics.
